NITRO HEAD BACK TO THE BEACH FOR SUMMER NIGHTS IN PORTLAND

The Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car tour continues to add events to the schedule with confirmation that Australia’s biggest nitro tour will head back to Portland and the iconic eighth mile track on the south-western coast of Victoria.

As has become customary for the Aeroflow, the field will feature a huge line-up of the 4000hp outlaw nitro funny cars as well as the crowd favourites – two wheelstanding supercharged funny cars, Nitro Sheriff and the new look Rocket Ship.

The new tune-up for the funny cars mean bigger flames and faster times than ever before, which will be sure to fire up the south coast fans.

Series Manager, Steve Bettes is excited to be returning to the picturesque venue and was quick to give thanks to the committee of South Coast Raceway.

“To be working with the Portland team again is a great privilege. They have such a wonderful group of people in the club and we love being able to bring our cars and our show to their beautiful racetrack.

“Our drivers and crews have had a great time on both of our visits and we can’t wait to go back and put on a show for our Victorian drag racing fans.

“The entire South Coast crew are just amazing and we know that they will give us a great race track and we also know that our teams will turn up the screws in their nitro hot-rods to take full advantage of grip and that beautiful beachside air

The South Coast racetrack also features a relatively new concrete startline that will have the drivers keen to try and put the 4000hp to the ground.

Bettes concluded, “February will means that we have some warm weather, which will be great for both the fans and the racers. The beach in the morning and racing outlaw nitro funny cars at night – does it get any better than that?”

Racing will be from 10am with the nitro cars racing at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm and features a full range of support categories.
